Alan recently purchased Rock Band for our Wii. We borrowed his parents set of drums so that we could go head to head on drums because we both like them. Last Sunday after church Alan was down stairs drumming with Camden. Camden was really getting into it so I took a little video. I started trying to just take pictures but he was being so cute trying to push the peddle and play that I switched over to video. It ended up to be a little long because I was waiting for something super cute and I new as soon as I stopped he would turn it on. He had fun playing and helping his dad play! We may have a future drummer on our hands!

McDonald's

Well, most people know that I don't care for McDonald's very much, but the kids love to go and play. We haven't been for a really long time, so when I asked them if they wanted to go get something to eat tonight Reagan immediately said McDonald's! I of course was thrilled! Alan was getting ready to go to a Real Salt Lake soccer game so I said sure. It actually ended up to be a pretty enjoyable night. The kids were good and had a great time playing after we ate. I thought Camden would play on the slides, but no... he went right for the basketball area and never left. He just loves any type of ball. Actually, the girls ended up playing in there most of the time too. Reagan was really getting good at making baskets and was so proud of herself every time one went in! We were there for about and hour and I had had enough. I told the kids it was time to go and they didn't even beg to stay... this was odd! They always want to stay and play longer no matter where we are playing. We did, however, have to go exchange their happy meal toys because they weren't princesses! What would the world be like if we had no kids meal toys? I took my camera along to capture the special moments!

Kid Happenings

Nothing major has happened in our kids lives just day to day happenings. I will start with Reagan. She is really enjoying school. We have been reading every night and she is starting to recognize words and anticipate what words are coming next. She loves doing homework! She gets a homework list every Monday and it's due on Friday. We have finished her homework on Monday when she gets it, except for the daily reading part. I originally thought I should try and spread her homework out over the week, but Reagan just wants to keep going until we get it all done. It has turned out nice because we have usually been tired or busy the other nights. Reagan usually walks or rides her scooter to school but a couple weeks ago, after riding her scooter to school, Reagan thinks she forgot to take her scooter into her classroom and someone stole it! She was hysterical... can you imagine Reagan hysterical! Me neither! :-) The lady who gives her a ride home was in tears when she dropped her off. We held out hope that someone would turn it in, but we haven't been so lucky. We told Reagan it was ok and that we will probably have to get her another one. Two weekends ago we were at Great Grandma Doty's for Sunday dinner and Reagan fell down and skinned her knee pretty bad. She has never had it happen this bad so she was pretty upset. I did have my camera and took pictures. I felt bad, but it was kinda funny too. She gets so dramatic!

Kairi is just growing up! She is such a little mother. She loves to take Tahlia and carry her all over and tries to play with her like she would with her doll. Most of the time Tahlia is ok with it, but gets tired of it pretty fast. She is also trying to help with Camden a lot. He, most of the time, doesn't appreciate it though. He is trying to be independent and Kairi is still trying to help too much. I told Kairi that she is suppose to help Aimee while Reagan is at school and she has been doing just that. She tells me every day that she helped while Reagan was gone. Her bubbly personality makes us laugh even when we shouldn't be. How can you be mad a child that smiles with such big dimples and blue eyes! Alan and I catch ourselves hiding smiles when we are trying to be serious with her.

Camden is our little tank! Every where we go people comment on how big he is especially when we tell them how old he is. He continues to be in the top percentiles on his growth chart. At his 15 month appointment he weighed 30.6 lbs, was 32 in tall and has a head circumference of 20 in! He is big but we love every inch of him! Camden loves being big. He loves taking showers, he loves wearing shoes, he loves running, kicking and throwing! He is turning into a little man right before our eyes. He is so different from his sisters, which most days is a good change of pace. He too has a bubbly personality. He loves to laugh and can get us all laughing for no apparent reason. What would we do without him!?

Tahlia is our small little bundle of joy! She is as small as Camden is big! She will be 5 months old this week and is still wearing 0-3 month clothes. She is already a strong and stubborn girl. She seems like she is going to be taking after her older sister. She is still refusing to take a bottle! We continue to try everyday but with no success. Consequently she is eating a ton of food! She eats a jar of baby food about 1/4 c rice cereal and a scoop or so of formula at every meal! She usually has to have some kind of snack in the early afternoon or late evening though. I'm hoping this means she will be growing soon! She has a smile that melts our hearts and loves any attention we can give her. Reagan has been such a big help in taking care of Tahlia! I don't know what I would do with out her!

Long Time...

I knew when I started back teaching that things would be different around our house... boy was I right. I feel like we haven't had one second to stop and relax. My day begins at 5:15 a.m. I finish getting ready, including eating breakfast at about 6:10. Alan gets up around at 5:40, gets ready, then gets the kids up around 6:10ish. He gets Tahlia ready first so that I can nurse her while Reagan and Kairi get dressed. Then he gets Camden ready. While I'm doing the girls hair Alan is loading the cars with all of our stuff for the day. If all goes well we are loading in our cars by 6:45. Most of the time I take the kids to the baby sitters because Alan's car won't hold all of the car seats! We did this to ourselves, but we wouldn't send back any one of them... but don't ask us after a long exhausting day! I usually get to work around 7:10 and Alan gets to his train about the same time, and gets to spend a half hour riding to Wells Fargo in downtown Salt Lake. After work, around 3:20 if I don't have meetings I go work out and pick the kids up by 4:30. We head home to work on making dinner, doing homework and trying to do what ever else may be on our plate for the night. Alan is usually home by 5:30 or 6:00. After we clean up for dinner we begin getting kids ready for bed... where has the day gone!? We have to lay out clothes for the next morning so things will run smoothly, baths, reading books and bed between 7:30 and 8:00. I'd like to say that we have been able to accomplish a lot between then and when we go to bed, but we have been so tired that we, or should I say I, usually start getting ready for bed ourselves. The weekends come and we are just as busy only we are grocery shopping, cleaning and trying to spend time together. Every week I think things will slow down, but so far that hasn't happened. This coming week I have parent teacher conferences on Wednesday and Thursday nights, so I will be at work from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.! Alan will be the one taking and picking up the kids from the babysitter. I don't know how people work such long hours on a regular basis... I really am not complaining. I just can't believe how crazy life has become. I doubt life will get less crazy, but it will be crazy in different ways. I thought that when Camden could walk things would be easier because I wouldn't have to carry two babies... that is true but now he has a mind of his own and just goes! He loves to throw and kick balls and is always on the move. Being so busy is making time go by fast. I love work going fast but not time with my family! I haven't had time to post anything for a few weeks, so I will now get caught up.
