So Cute!!!

I was playing with Tahlia on the floor a few days ago and she was being so cute. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. I can't believe that she turned 6 months old this week! She goes next Wednesday for her 6 month check up. She has been eating so much that she shouldn't be in the 9th percentile anymore. I'm really anxious to see how much she has grown!

Painting Pumpkins

For family home evening this week we painted our pumpkins. I took the girls to pick out paint the Saturday before and it took them forever to decide what they were going to paint. Kairi decided to paint a pig and Reagan a rainbow. They did an awesome job and we had fun watching.

Camden wanted to paint so bad... but I just couldn't let him.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua

Our girls have wanted to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua since we saw the previews for it when we went to Alvin and the Chipmunks last Christmas. We had Fall Recess a little over a week ago so we decided to take them during the day that Thursday. BYU was playing that night so we went early so we could watch the game which ended up to be a complete disappointment! Anyway, we took all of the kids which ended up to be our first mistake. We got popcorn and drinks which kept everyone busy for about an hour. Camden started playing between the seats and ended up dumping the rest of the popcorn on my lap and dumping a drink upside down on the floor! The he decided to take off his socks and shoes and throw them in the theatre! I thought he was going to hit someone for sure. I sent Reagan to retrieve them and then the girls thought it was Ok to be up out of their seats. During this time Tahlia had fallen asleep on Alan,so that was when Camden and I went for a walk. I spent the rest of the movie out with him. Alan said the girls weren't awful but had a hard time with the rest of the movie, especially Kairi and she was the one that has talked about going the most! All and all it was fun, but we made a BIG mental note to get a babysitter for Camden if we decide to go again!

Camden couldn't get enough popcorn!

I saw this on a friends blog... had to try it.

Twilight

I wasn't going to but I have started reading the The Twilight series of books. From what I heard people say about them I wasn't too intrigued, but I decided to try and guess what... I'm hooked. I just finished the first book and I'm surprised that I want to keep reading. I didn't realized it, until one of my students told me, but there is a moving coming out... now I'm looking forward to it. I saw this on a friends blog and took the little quiz.

BYU Football Game

Yesterday was BYU's homecoming vs. UNM. My family had planned for a long time to come down for the game. Leslie had purchased the tickets for everyone who could come a few weeks ago. This has started to be a tradition with my family. We have gone to at least one BYU football game a season for several years now. We had arranged with Alan's parents to watch our kids so that it would just be adults going. As the date grew nearer we ended up finding out that one of Alan's mission companions was getting married that same day in Manti. We had a dilemma. The tickets were bought but we felt like he needed to go. So, we decided Alan would go to the wedding and I would go to the game with my family. Bryce wasn't originally going to come down but then decided to, so he went to the wedding and golfing with Alan. They ended up having a good time. Leslie, Tyson, Will (Tyson's friend), Megan, Mom, Dad, and I ended up going to the game and we all pilled into my van to drive down. Thank goodness for dad's handicap parking pass! It always lets us drive right into the stadium parking lot! We got parked just in time to go to the Courage Den and buy a little something for the kids and get to our seats. We thought the weather was going to be horrible but it actually ended up being pretty good. It got a little cold with about 10 min left in the 4th quarter but nothing awful. BYU ended up wining 21 - 3! We all thought BYU could have played better though. Of course the BYU @ Utah came up and we all decided that it could be a very heated game. I wish I was going to be with some BYU fans to watch! On the way out Aunt Troie and Uncle Scott and their family saw us so we chatted with them for a minute. We aren't the only family in my extended family who has started this tradition. After the game we decided to go eat dinner at Red Robin in South Jordan. By the time we got back it was about 9:30 and every one was tired. We had had a great day... can't wait until next year!

Pumpkins

Last Monday for Family Home Evening Alan and I decided to take the kids to a pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins. Reagan remembered doing this last year and was REALLY excited to go! We weren't the only family who had this idea so there were a few other people there too. It had rained all weekend so the ground was a little muddy, but not too bad. At this pumpkin patch you take a wheel barrel to help carry your pumpkins. Camden wished that he could push the wheel barrel. We tried to get a good picture of him with a pumpkin but he kept picking them up and throwing them... go figure! We found a cute little one for Tahlia and she really liked looking at it and touching it. Kairi loved them too, but quickly chose her favorite and put it in the wheel barrel. Then there was Reagan... she had to walk around the whole patch 2 times! She would examine pumpkins and always find something wrong with them. Finally, I told her to pick because we were ready to go. The owners of the patch have several old trackers that kids can climb on... so we let our kids get on and take some pictures. Reagan and Kairi then wanted to get in a trailer full of pumpkins to take some pictures. As we loaded into the van and started to drive away we heard a thud. Alan had hit an orange parking cone! A lady ran to our van to get it out from underneath. I was a little embarrassed but it didn't seem to faze Alan. I just teased him a lot! Good family memories.
